Race Director FAQs

Does Time to Tri provide course measuring and Certification?

Yes, we can measure your course, create the required USATF course map and submit all required documentation to the USATF for certification.

What area does Time to Tri service?

We service Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Why use RFID "CHIP" timing?

RFID is less labor intensive than manual timing. There is no need for the additional steps and staff to collect tare offs, maintain finish order and write down times on finish boards etc. All these steps produce slow results and can introduce error.  RFID provides accurate results almost instantly by eliminating human interaction at the finish line.

How is Time to Tri able provide timing at a lower rate?

Time to Tri is not required to use proprietary timing chips from timing hardware companies, resulting in a lower per participant cost.

Why does Time to Tri charge a per participant fee?

This fee covers material and labor costs associated with each participant’s bib.

Does Time to Tri provide online registration?

Yes, we currently use RunSignup.com. While we don’t earn any revenue from using their platform, we’ve found that they offer the most value, numerous time-saving features, and exceptional customer service.

Do you use a back-up timing system just in case?

Yes, We use a redundant RFID system at the finish line as well video and manual system.
